This week we are taking a look at the Ska genre and listening to some classics! I have also placed some interesting covers of Ska alternatives near the bottom of the post for people already familiar with the genre. These will hopefully get you in a cheerful mood and ready for whatever this week will throw at you. Enjoy!
The Specials

The first artist up this week is a very well known Ska band called The Specials. They were first formed in 1977 in Coventry. Below are some of their most popular tracks everyone has likely heard before – but they are bound to get you in a positive mood!

Madness

Next up this week is Madness! They were formed just a year before the previous band in 1976 (Camden Town, London). Madness are arguably the biggest band in terms of the revival of Ska. They still perform today with six of the original band members.
