Some staff may recognise Tabitha Grove from her time as an artist working with patients in the renal unit at York. Tabitha is now performing in a solo show across Explore libraries in York during October (and touring nationally in 2023) and you’re invited to join her.
It isn’t just books that hold our stories. It’s the people. It’s the places. It’s the times. It’s the objects around us.
We’ve all created stories from the moment that we could. We haven’t always written them though. We’ve drawn them, we’ve spoken them and we’ve sung them. And the point of all this? To share them. Join Big City Read Artist in residence Tabitha Grove as she explores the beauty of the way everything holds a story. If we listen carefully enough, these tales can even help us create our own stories.
Inspired by Kate Atkinson’s Behind the Scenes at the Museum, Them There Then That is a brand new solo performance touring York Libraries this October as part of the Big City Read.
