A gift of Yorkshire Roses from York Minster

Yorkshire roses knitted by the Minster community

The Minster Community have been busy knitting Yorkshire Roses, which have been specially made as a gift for National Thank You Day on Sunday 5th June.

The roses are also meant as an invite to the service of celebration of the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen; the hope is that people may come along to the service wearing their roses. But generally a nice local gift of a rose.

The roses can be collected from Chapel today in York and there will be some in Scarborough Chapel too by the end of the week.

A gift for you ahead of National Thank You Day, from York Minster.

Why not join us at 5pm on Saturday 4th June for a special service to mark the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen. We’ll give thanks for 70 years of dedicated service with special prayers, readings and celebratory music.

We’d love to see you there wearing your Yorkshire Rose with pride!
