We had a great response to the Summer Playlist 2022 call out and I can safely say I’ve never heard such an eclectic mix of Summer tracks! Thank you for the stories as well as the music. Although this may not be a playlist in its purist form, it gives a little insight into the lives of your colleagues who kindly shared them. I hope it brings a little sunshine to your day!
Darren Woodford (Decontamination Technician at York hospital) says ” I first heard this [Alma by Govardo] when they were busking in square in front of the minster. That impressed I bought the album. I think it’s a track about lost love and the hope of putting things behind and starting over again. Listen to it turned up a little bit through headphones and the clarity of notes and voice is outstanding. We have seen them busking a few times over the last few years and we always sit and watch for 20 mins. In fact they even nod to us now. Stalkers or what! We follow them on social media as they have had their music used in films and by one member of the Canadian ice skating team.”
“It should make you feel something or it should make you dance”
