Origami Summer

FREE workshop for all ages

Anyone visiting our stall at the York Staff Wellbeing Fair would have seen the beautiful origami butterflies and games we were giving away as prizes. We love origami and see the benefits of creating something beautiful from a simple piece of paper. Anyone wanting to join this free online workshop on Saturday 30th July can register on the link below. It is run by Dr Lizzie Burns from Origami Pulse, who supplied us with the popular origami leaflets last year. We will be sharing more of her work later in the year and giving staff and patients the opportunity to get hands on again creating their own mini masterpieces.

Make something beautiful in your hands through origami. Fold yourself decorations on a summery theme including boats and shells, and feel uplifted.

Try something new and wonderful with Dr Lizzie Burns who helps people of all ages discover origami. This project is offered in support of wellbeing thanks to a Community Fund from the National Lottery and the final workshop as part of ‘We can origami’. All you need is paper! Bring along paper that you would otherwise throw away, and add colours with pens/pencils. This month’s fold features fantastic designs from Peter Buchan-Symons including a big wave.

This is for all ages including for families. You can join in the Oxfordshire County Library in the Makerspace where the session will be livestreamed or online from home and details will be sent for joining via Zoom. For tickets just sign up one per household.
