Student Elisabeth Banks is a film student at York College and Type 1 Diabetic. She approached the hospital for support in helping her produce her final college project, a personal documentary, Diabetes and Me.
It’s purpose is to inform the public about what Type 1 Diabetes is in detail, as well as sharing her own personal story of living with Type 1 Diabetes. Elisabeth hopes that someone watching can relate to her experiences and feel less alone (if they do).
