Reading for Wellbeing Virtual Book Group – January Round Up

Last night the Book Group met to discuss Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman. We all really enjoyed this book – the characters were written so well that they felt like people you’d known all your life. Though there are some incredibly sad and challenging moments, overall the book is very uplifting and leaves you with a feeling of happiness and hopefulness. We would definitely recommend picking up a copy if you ever have the chance!

The next meeting of the Reading for Wellbeing Virtual Book Group is taking place on Wednesday 2nd February at 7-8pm via WebEx.

Our next book choice is a Quick Reads collection of short stories – Dead Simple by Harry Bingham.

We own one copy of this book at York (the Scarborough copy is sadly missing) – please email library@york.nhs.uk if you’d like us to put it aside for you. To buy your own copy, it can be purchased as an e-book from Amazon or the Kobo store or as a paperback from Waterstones, WHSmith, Blackwell’s, Hive or Bookshop.org.

If you have any further questions about the Virtual Book Group, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Best wishes,

Kathryn Aylward
