14th-18th June 2021 is the first ever NHS Knowledge and Library Services Awareness Week! This is an opportunity for the Trust Library Service to shout about what we do.
‘Librarian’ might not be the first word that comes to mind when you think about the NHS, but there are lots of ways that we can help you. We can get books and articles for you from other NHS libraries so you have easy access to the information you need. We can help you to take the heavy lifting out of searching for clinical or managerial information, saving you valuable time and freeing you up to do what you do best. We can work with you to develop your information skills to help you complete your qualifications and support your evidence-based practice. We can also support you through our Health & Wellbeing book collection and Virtual Book Group.
As part of the celebration, we are giving away some free fiction books! These have been donated to us by publishers for us to distribute amongst our staff. They’re a real mix of authors and genres, so you never know – you might find a new favourite hidden in there!
To collect your free book, just pop into either York or Scarborough Libraries and help yourself to a goody bag from one of our displays. If you need any help at all, please just ask a member of staff.
No library membership is required, but if you’re not a member of the Trust Library Service already, now is a great time to join!
