Hi everyone – this week I’d like to share some more songs that I’ve been enjoying at the moment that I think you might enjoy! As always, please feel free to dip in and out of these and I hope you can find something new in this post.
Easy Life – Daydreams (2.5 mins)
Easy Life’s style wasn’t something I would usually gravitate towards, but they have definitely won me over! The group bring together their eclectic music tastes to create their sound and they always show their passion for the music they make.
This is the Kit – Moonshine Freeze (3.5 mins)
The first time I heard this song was in one of my first lectures at YSJ and it has stuck with me since. I really enjoy the feel of this piece and love the space to musicians give each other to perform.
Jack Johnson – Sunsets for Somebody Else (3.5 mins)
I have always found Jack Johnson’s music to be so peaceful, and this track is certainly no exception. His effortless style is captured beautifully in this song, as you can hear the connection he has to his music.
The Feeling – Shadow Boxer (3.5 mins)
Many will know The Feeling from their popular song Fill My Little World from 2006, but their album release 10 years later hasn’t generated the same buzz. Shadow Boxer is one of my favourite tracks from their 2016 releases, and it is interesting to hear how they have developed their sound.
Simon and Garfunkel – The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin’ Groovy) (1.5 mins)
Simon and Garfunkel are one of my all-time favourite artists and I absolutely love how cheerful this track is. While this song is only short, it features their distinctive harmonies and is plenty long enough to put anyone in a good mood!
Thank you for reading and listening through this week’s post – please feel free to leave a comment if you have any feedback or suggestions!
