Maximus Stephens – Escape to a Different World (Pt 2)

For this week’s music post , we are returning to the topic of film music and once again,  embarking on a journey through different worlds and dimensions!

I have picked another three film composers to transport you into a peaceful and tranquil mindset – please click on the YouTube links below to listen to the music or the IMDb link to find out more about each film and where to watch them. Rather than listening to all of them in one day, try to spread your listening time throughout the week, allowing you to have multiple “escape” listening sessions. I hope you enjoy this second installment of film music.

This film is the first in a long runner series of films scored by the incredible composer Howard Shore. One aspect of Shore’s composition that always amazes me is how fast his soundscapes are, the music represents the size of the landscapes perfectly, enjoy! – The Shire – Rivendell – The Road Goes Ever On (Pt.1) – The Road Goes Ever On (Pt.2)

Last this week, we have the first installment in the Maze Runner trilogy. This was the first score by John Paesano I had ever listened to, and it is very impressive. I find it fascinating that he is able to reuse, reorder and reapply themes with such success throughout the entire franchise. – The Maze Runner – Chat With Chuck – Thomas Remembers – Finale
