Maximus Stephens

Hello, my name is Maximus (Yes like the Roman gladiator). I am a second year music performance student at York St John University. I play the saxophone, piano and guitar. My favourite genre by far is jazz, I like it so much it is basically part of me! Every time I listen to it I feel so free and no matter what mood I’m in it makes me happy. Some of my favourite artists are jazz singer Gregory porter and saxophonist Paul Desmond. Don’t worry if jazz isn’t your thing, I also love pop artists like Billie Eilish, Elton John and David Bowie – basically, if it’s music, I’ll like it. After university, I hope to pursue a career in music, either as a saxophonist or a film composer.
